A. If you are at home, in your car, at school or at your office, you might not get infected by an aerosol spray until you leave the premises or vehicle. The "Fighting Chance" will allow you to leave the building or vehicle and travel about without exposing yourself to an agent. If an unknown substance is detected or found nearby, you can completely protect yourself in seconds. The second you slip the hood over your head you are protected. This will allow you to make adjustments at your leisure, after, not before, you add the mask.

For use at work, office, school or home, a lighter weight protective mask is also provided which offers 99% B.F.E. at 1 micron. For indoor use this is ideal for clerks in mailrooms or incoming shipment handlers. Additionally, people who wear glasses and women with long hair can wear this mask/hood with no problems.

Q. What kind of agents will the "Fighting Chance" P.P.S. protect me from?

A. The "Fighting Chance" will protect you 99% from biological agents down to .03 microns in size (anthrax measures 1 micron x 4 microns). The mask will also protect you from most gases and nerve agents and smoke. It is flame retardant as is the hood, making it ideal protection in case of house, apartment or office fires (95% of people die of smoke inhalation, making it the leading cause of death in fires). The mask is rated R100 and is approved by NIOSH. Additionally, the head to toe protective suit is chemically and biologically impervious.

Q. How long will the mask last?

A. The mask has three layers of filters, the two inner filters can be replaced easily without removing the protective hood. The outer filter can be washed and disinfected without replacement. The mask is good for up to 24 hours depending on level of exposure.
